Asking for Your One Sentence Pitch for the Knight Writer Podcast

For episode 7 of the Knight Writer Podcast, I will be looking at the one sentence pitch. I will take a look at recent examples that were used this past week and highlight the ones that caught an agent or publisher’s eye. Then I will attempt to create a one sentence pitch for my own novel (it will be interesting to see how my pitch evolves when I come back to this topic when I am done writing the novel).

Do you have a one sentence pitch you would like to share for the podcast or is there that you read which really stuck with you? Leave it in the comments section!

Erratic Knight: Podcasting and Audio Editing

If you had asked me ten years ago whether I would ever consider doing a podcast, my response would have been a definitive “No.” I have never been an outgoing speaker, let alone someone who is verbose or even an intellectual. I could barely justify to myself doing a blog for as long as i did let alone imagine that I would stumble into a freelance writing gig for a couple of websites. But it happened, and I eventually started podcasting. And then, I started doing my own podcasts and learning how to edit audio.

When it comes to podcasting, I started as a participant for a website I used to write for called Press2Reset; a video game website that reported the news, posted editorials, and published game reviews. It was a great time but, sadly, writers moved on and the momentum gained during its initial period tapered off. But that is another post for another time. The site had two podcasts and the one I was on was called Press Pass (which is still ongoing). I went from participant to host, though I didn’t have to edit the audio for that podcast.
